According to information received from N12 News, the Israeli Ministry of Transport, together with the Foreign Ministry, are building a system of sea shuttles to return Israelis stranded abroad due to the cancellation of flights. One of the solutions includes using IDF transport planes to evacuate citizens from other countries.
According to N12, several days ago, Transport Minister Miri Regev proposed to the Director General of the Ministry, Moshe Ben-Zaken, to find ways to return Israelis stuck at airports. After consultations with the Shipping and Ports Authority, an option was proposed to organize the return by sea transport.
The Ministry of Transport has reported the possibility of returning Israelis by sea shuttles. Miri Regev has also asked the Ministry of Defense to allocate transport planes for this purpose. For information on the registration and departure of the shuttles, citizens can contact embassies or the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem.
According to N12, the first sea shuttles to bring back Israelis will begin operating next week. This initiative is intended to help Israeli citizens who have found themselves in a difficult situation due to restrictions on international passenger flights.
