Yom Kippur is the day considered the holiest for Jews. Believers believe that on this day their actions over the past year are assessed and their fate for the next year is determined. By tradition, Jews spend 25 hours in prayer and strict fasting. Judgment Day is celebrated on the tenth day of the month of Tishrei in the Jewish lunisolar calendar.
