The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine gave a blessing to the head of the GUR Budanov for the “Victory Year”

Before the most important holiday for Jews, Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Azman gave a blessing for a successful year to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov.

Yom Kippur is a very important and sacred holiday for Jews, which is celebrated on the tenth day of the month of Tishrei according to the Jewish lunisolar calendar.

Moshe Azman noted that it was an honor to meet with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate before this great holiday and wish him good luck and victory in the coming year.

Yom Kippur is the day considered the holiest for Jews. Believers believe that on this day their actions over the past year are assessed and their fate for the next year is determined. By tradition, Jews spend 25 hours in prayer and strict fasting. Judgment Day is celebrated on the tenth day of the month of Tishrei in the Jewish lunisolar calendar. In 2024, Yom Kippur began on the evening of October 11 and ended with the appearance of stars in the sky on October 12.
