The Histadrut union has announced a national strike over the failed exchange deal and the deaths of the hostages. The strike will begin on Monday, September 2, at 6 a.m., and will include the closure of Ben Gurion Airport and kindergartens across the country.

The union leader said the rejection of the deal was driven by political considerations that suited Prime Minister Netanyahu. He called on citizens to join protests to express their dissatisfaction with the political decisions.

The strike is intended to draw attention to the situation with the exchange agreements and hostages, to toughen the government's position and to show its readiness to fight for justice and security for citizens.
