Based on the assessment of the situation, the commander of the Southern Military District signed an order declaring several areas in the vicinity of the Gaza Strip as closed zones. Access to them without prior approval is prohibited. The order will come into force today, August 12, at 12:00.
Agricultural areas between the Erez crossing, Kibbutz Yad Mordechai, Sha'ar Hanegev Junction, Netivot Junction and Kibbutz Nahal Oz will be closed to traffic. Agricultural areas from the access road to the cemetery in Netivot to the intersection with Route 234 and from there to the border fence will also be closed.
The Eshkol River area will be closed from the Reim junction through the Urim junction to the Maon junction and from there to the border fence.
