The IDF confirmed the death of a 28-year-old Israeli who was a Hamas hostage.

28-year-old Eli Shatiwi had been missing since October 7, but it turned out that he died on the day of his abduction at the SuperNova festival. His remains were stolen by Hamas militants and are being held in the Gaza Strip, Israel a-Yom reported.

For a long time, it was believed that Eli Shatiwi was still alive and held hostage in Gaza. However, the IDF informed his relatives of his death. The decision to do this was made after a pathological examination of the remains found at Kibbutz Reim.
