The IDF has completed vaccinating children against polio in the Gaza Strip.

In the second polio vaccination campaign in the Gaza Strip, more than 90% of children were vaccinated. 1.1 million doses of the vaccine have been used. The Office of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Palestinian Territories collaborated with WHO and UNICEF during the action.

According to COGAT, more than a million vaccinations have been given to children in different parts of Gaza. 355 thousand vials of polio vaccine have been administered, allowing nearly 5 million people to be vaccinated. Over 600 thousand vaccines against other diseases were also delivered.

COGAT, together with other organizations, allowed the entry of polio specialists and the supply of medical equipment for smooth operation. The Israel Defense Forces has been actively involved in the delivery of vaccines and other medical supplies to the Gaza Strip.
