At today's meeting of the Knesset, a bill was passed on the deportation of relatives of terrorists who know about their family members' plans to commit terrorist attacks in Israel. Deportation will be carried out outside the country or in territory controlled by the army. The bill was proposed by Knesset member Hanoch Cohen.

According to Cohen himself, the families of terrorists must know that their fate now depends on the actions of their relatives. The bill provides for the possibility of deportation of all close relatives of terrorists – from parents to children, by court decision. Different opinions on this issue were expressed both within the parliamentary group itself and on the part of the security services.

The Shin Bet advocated limiting the law to only the deportation of parents of terrorists, considering this a fairly effective measure. At the same time, the Utsma Yehudit party opposed restrictions in the law, targeting a wider range of people subject to deportation.
