The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has added Timur Mindich and Alexander Zuckerman to the wanted list — two key figures in the “Midas” investigation. Both are suspected of participating in a large-scale corruption scheme related to “Energoatom”.
According to official data, the profiles of Mindich and Zuckerman are placed in the section on persons hiding from pre-trial investigation authorities. Mindich’s card indicates the disappearance date as November 10, 2025, and Zuckerman’s as October 26, 2025. According to Ukrainian media, both are in Israel and do not intend to return, fearing charges.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs website also notes that their disappearance was recorded on November 20. The “Midas” investigation, conducted by NABU and SAP, describes a scheme of laundering tens of millions of dollars through the state company “Energoatom”.
The essence of the mechanism was straightforward: private companies seeking contracts had to pay a kickback of 10% to 15%. Refusal automatically meant exclusion from the list of suppliers.
The investigation believes that the organizer of the scheme was Timur Mindich — co-owner of “Kvartal-95” and former business partner of President Zelensky. He left Ukraine before the searches were conducted and is now, according to sources, in Israel.
The context gives the case an international scale. The presence of the figures in another country complicates the process of obtaining evidence and coordination between structures. Such cases always affect trust in state institutions and directly impact the economic field — the investment climate, supplier operations, and transparency of the public sector.
Stories of this level rarely go unnoticed. They become indicators of systemic problems and simultaneously a push for reforms. The outcome of the “Midas” case is not yet formed, but it is clear that its influence on Ukraine’s political and institutional dynamics will be long-term.
This is why the investigation has already attracted the attention of international media, expert circles, and the Ukrainian diaspora in Israel — including those following the situation through NAnews — News of Israel | Nikk.Agency.
