The UAE has become the United States' main defense partner.

During a meeting between US President Joe Biden and United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, they agreed to further strengthen cooperation in high-tech areas such as space exploration, clean energy and artificial intelligence. Strengthening the relationship, Biden declared the UAE a top defense partner for the US following talks with Sheikh Mohammed. The status opens up new opportunities for closer military cooperation, including joint training and operations.

The two countries became partners after India, and this strategic partnership will allow them to deepen their defense cooperation, expand bilateral and multilateral operations. The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen security in the Middle East, especially given the regional conflicts and threats from terrorist organizations.

One of the topics discussed at the meeting was the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Both leaders stressed the importance of delivering humanitarian aid to civilians suffering from the fighting. Further cooperation in high-tech areas such as space exploration, clean energy and artificial intelligence was also discussed.

Together, they also encourage new opportunities to develop these areas in order to attract the attention of global players. The importance of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas was emphasized in a joint statement after the meeting.

At the same time, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant announced a “new phase” of the war against Hezbollah, which is why the Israeli armed forces are concentrating on the northern front, near the border with Lebanon. All these measures are aimed at ensuring stability and security in the Middle East region.
