Pilgrim Hasidim began leaving Uman after the conclusion of the Jewish New Year Rosh Hashanah. The celebration of this event in 2025 took place from the evening of September 22 to the evening of September 24.

The Cherkasy police reported that a consolidated unit of law enforcement officers continues to be on site, ensuring safety. Preventive talks were conducted in the area where the pilgrims predominantly stayed. Assistance was provided if necessary.

Employees of the National Police, National Guard, State Emergency Service, Migration Service, and Israeli police were involved in maintaining public order.

Incidents with Arriving Pilgrims

During the events, law enforcement issued 12 decisions on the forced return of Israeli citizens. Five Hasidim were banned from entering Ukraine for three years for violations of the Criminal Code.

Despite warnings from the authorities, many pilgrims ignored air raid signals, which created certain risks.
