The UN called on Israel to increase humanitarian assistance to residents of the Gaza Strip.

A meeting of the UN Security Council took place today to discuss the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. Israel was called upon to increase humanitarian aid to the region. The US delegation condemned Israel's actions, which they believe are contributing to widespread hunger in Gaza due to ongoing military action against Hamas.

The policy of restricting humanitarian supplies and famine in the northern Gaza Strip was called unacceptable by the US representative. The Prime Minister of Israel held an urgent meeting of the government cabinet, where issues of expanding humanitarian assistance to this region were discussed. From Jordan, 50 trucks with humanitarian aid were transferred to the northern part of Gaza through the Allenby checkpoint and the Erez checkpoint.

The White House has warned Israel to improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza within a month. Authorities have pledged to deliver humanitarian aid to the region, including food, water, medicine and shelter equipment.
