The relevant document notes that these funds are intended for the Lebanese armed forces, which are actively involved in maintaining peace on the border with Israel and monitoring the situation with the terrorist organization Hezbollah. Previously, the United States allocated $1.3 billion in military aid to Egypt, including $95 million that was contingent on the release of political prisoners.
