The White House is putting pressure on Israel to resolve the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

If Israel does not comply by November 13, the US could withhold military aid, Axios reports.

An American official told reporters that US President Joe Biden's administration had previously avoided such a step, but was now receiving increasing support from the State Department on this issue. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin sent a letter to their Israeli counterparts on October 13 with an ultimatum to resolve the humanitarian crisis in Gaza within 30 days. In March, Israel already promised to comply with these conditions.

“Determining whether Israel has fulfilled its obligations to the United States and whether it violated U.S. laws during the Gaza war could be the first major decision the White House makes during the post-election transition period,” the reporters note.
