Following a possible attack from Iran and Lebanon, the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Economy held a meeting with representatives of retail chains and food producers. The goal was to assess the readiness to maintain food supplies in the face of deteriorating security. He emphasized that the level of preparedness is high and there is no need for excess food stocks.

At a meeting with suppliers, it was noted that about 300 so-called “iron branches” of grocery stores are prepared for work in extreme scenarios. The remaining branches will work according to the directives. When choosing “iron branches”, their location, stocks, power supply and staff readiness for work were taken into account.
