There will be a second round in the election of the Ashkenazi chief rabbi of Israel.

On September 29, 2024, elections for chief rabbis were held in Israeli territory. None of the five candidates received a majority of votes, and two of them received the same number of votes.

The election is carried out by a special commission consisting of 140 religious authorities.
