The Ukrainian defense industry is experiencing a revolution, not just an evolution. Military analyst Colonel Petro Chernyk noted on a telethon that Ukraine lags behind only the USA and Israel in the development of military technologies.

Overcoming Soviet Legacy

Production Capabilities

Ukraine has achieved 40% of its own production of necessary weapons, with the potential to increase to 70%. Chernyk highlights artillery as a key direction: one 50-kilogram shell can replace dozens of drones.

Rocket Engines

Historically, Ukraine’s strong point is rocket engines. Chernyk reminded that until 2014, Russian helicopters were equipped with Ukrainian engines. This area remains important for cooperation with global defense giants.
