Although, of course, this is just a number, and we should count not from 22, but from 2014. The war began then, and now we are watching the end of the third year of its active phase – a full-scale invasion of Russian troops on Ukrainian territory.
This is exactly what we are observing, continuing to sit on the fence, and we have a thousand reasons for this, and all of them are objective, understandable – and even reasonable.
But this does not change the fact: Israel has – so far at least – preferred to refrain from directly supporting Ukraine.
I hate it when Ukraine “votes the right way” on anti-Israeli resolutions at the UN. It is even more unpleasant for me when the President of Ukraine connects the entry of Israeli ground forces into the Gaza Strip with the humanitarian crisis that has broken out there.
But I leave all this to the conscience of Ukrainian politicians and Ukrainian diplomats.
