Youth community “Prostir”together with Israeli friends of Ukraine And Social Justice Centersinvites January 31, 2025 everyone take part in a charity event to build a bomb shelter at the Atidut residence, located in Acre.
This place is home to about 100 people with special needs, where every initiative contributes to improving their lives.
Program of the day
The organizers offer a detailed schedule of the event:
- 07:20 — Collection at Savidor station in Tel Aviv and transfer to Acre.
- 09:00–13:00 — Volunteer work, including pizza break.
- 15:00 — Return to Tel Aviv.
Participants are encouraged to bring water, a snack and wear comfortable clothing.
What will the volunteers do?
The work will include:
- Painting and cleaning the shelter.
- Gardening work on the territory of the residence.
“We strive to create a comfortable space, although we hope that this bomb shelter will no longer be needed,” the organizers noted.
Why is this important?
The Atidut Residence provides protection for people with special needs, especially in the face of the threat of shelling. This initiative, which united the efforts of Israelis and immigrants from Ukraine, reflects the deep connection between the peoples.
The purpose of the action is not only to improve living conditions, but also to demonstrate the strength of community.
