Opposition leader Yair Lapid said that at the end of September the United States and Israel reached an agreement on a ceasefire in Lebanon for 21 days. However, the plans were canceled due to the assassination of Sheikh Nasrallah a few days later. This became known on October 9.
Lapid publicly responded to the situation, noting that he supports the elimination of Nasrallah. He also spoke about the “endless lies of the poison machine” and false statements about his position on the ceasefire in Lebanon.
The proposal for a 21-day ceasefire was a joint initiative of the US President and the French leader, but it was not implemented due to events related to Sheikh Nasrallah.
