French President Emmanuel Macron congratulated Republican Donald Trump on his victory in the 2024 US presidential election. Macron expressed his willingness to work with Trump, emphasizing mutual respect and ambition to achieve peace and prosperity.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban also congratulated Trump on his victory, calling it a major return to US politics. Orban expressed confidence that this is the victory the world needs.
Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized the historic significance of Trump's return to the White House and the reaffirmation of a strong alliance between Israel and America through his election victory.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also joined in congratulating Trump on his astonishing victory, noting his commitment to a “peace through strength” approach.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized Trump's key role in keeping the Alliance strong.
Leaders of other countries such as Lithuania, Kosovo, Serbia, Austria, Georgia, and the United Kingdom also expressed their congratulations and support for Trump. Nauseda from Lithuania noted the importance of transatlantic unity to ensure the security of both countries. Zurabishvili from Georgia emphasized the importance of American support for Euro-Atlantic integration and strengthening stability in the region.

Republican candidate Trump won the presidential election with the required 276 electoral votes. He will become the second US president, after Grover Cleveland, to return to head the White House. Trump previously led the country from 2017-2021.
