The White House has reaffirmed its support for Israel after Hezbollah's attack on the Golan Heights.

The United States has condemned the rocket attack on a football pitch in the Israeli town of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights, which killed 12 people.

US President Joe Biden called the attack that killed the children “horrific.” In a statement, White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said support for Israel's security against terrorist groups, including Hezbollah, is unwavering.

On July 27, Israel recorded a rocket attack on a football field in the city of Majdal Shams, carried out by the Lebanese group Hezbollah. At present, the total number of people killed is 12 people, including children and teenagers, and about 30 people were injured. The rocket attack is considered the most serious attack on civilians since October 7, 2023. Iran has declared its readiness to support Hezbollah in the event of an Israeli attack on Lebanon.
