During an unprecedented military escalation in the Middle East, Iran suffered critical losses in its top leadership.

The situation was discussed by analyst Ilya Kusa and political scientist Yuri Romanenko.

The precision strikes by the US and Israeli coalition not only destroyed strategic infrastructure but also physically eliminated the state’s top officials. Experts point out that such a level of coordination is impossible without deep intelligence penetration into the upper echelons of Iranian power.

The assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was the result of a carefully planned operation. The attack occurred precisely at the moment when the Iranian leadership considered itself protected.

“The very nature of the strikes, tied to, well, a clear understanding of when Khamenei was at this meeting, during which he was taken out, and he emerged from the bunker, went upstairs… the strike was surgically precise, they clearly understood where, what, and how. All services were coordinated, and that’s why it worked,” noted Yuri Romanenko.

The strategy of leadership elimination resembles previous actions by Israel in the region. “It turns out that playing, well, like Israel liked to play with Hezbollah there, yes, and with Hamas, killing their leader so that the leadership there would start to wobble, simply because it’s extremely dangerous to be a leader,” notes Romanenko.

Simultaneously with the elimination of political leaders, key security agencies of the country, particularly the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the pro-government militia “Basij,” are subjected to massive bombings.

Ilya Kusa confirms the targeted nature of such attacks, emphasizing that the Basij participated in the harsh suppression of protests in Iran.

It is precisely because of the continuous strikes on administrative and military buildings that experts consider expectations of an immediate uprising by the opposition in Iran illogical: “What is the point of capturing these buildings there and even trying to approach them under conditions where they can be hit by bombs or missiles at any moment,” summarizes Kusa.

The lightning-fast elimination not only of Khamenei but also of his successor (Ayatollah Arafi) in an extremely short time raises logical questions about the security of Iranian communications and the presence of Western intelligence agents in the country’s leadership.

“Ask yourself how it happens that Khamenei was taken out yesterday and today (March 1 – ed.) his successor was already taken out… what kind of rat or moles do they have there that just leak information so shamelessly and don’t even get caught at all. This is only possible when you have very good sources of information,” emphasized Romanenko.

The situation in Iran remains tense, and further actions by the international community could significantly impact the development of events. It is important to follow the news to understand how this will affect the region. Israel News | Nikk.Agency
