US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held their first telephone conversation in weeks. The event comes as Israel expands its ground operation in Lebanon and discusses options for responding to the recent Iranian attack, the Associated Press reported.
In addition, US presidential candidate Donald Trump had a conversation with Netanyahu last week. Trump noted Israel's work against Hezbollah and congratulated the prime minister on his intense and decisive action. Senator Lindsey Graham, a Trump ally, also took part in the talks.
