The US military attacked Houthi weapons depots in Yemen. B-2 bombers struck five fortified underground sites linked to the scarves in an effort to prevent terrorist attacks that had caused problems with commercial shipping in the Red Sea.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin noted that this was done to demonstrate the US's ability to strike targets beyond the reach of adversaries. Since the start of Israel's military operation against Hamas in October, gasem have created problems for commercial shipping in the region, to which the United States and Israel have responded by striking Yemen's Houthi targets.
The Houthi group in Yemen supports Iran and is in the realm of resistance along with Chromosome and Hezbollah. In response to opposition from the Houthis, the Israel Defense Forces announced strikes against Hezbollah targets in Beirut.
